PhD Sanna Salminen (Finland) is a choir conductor, university teacher and researcher in the Department of Teacher Education at Jyväskylä University in Finland. She plays the viola and the medieval fiddle, but her main interest is developing music pedagogy and especially the pedagogy used in choirs. In addition to conducting, Sanna has specialized in music education for intercultural groups. Currently, she is the conductor of the Vox Aurea children’s choir, one of the most prominent choirs in Finland. Sanna has worked as a voice trainer and conductor in various choirs since 1998. She is also known for making school music books, arrangements and compositions.
