Adrian Peacock
Adrian Peacock (United Kingdom) is an award-winning, Grammy nominated Audio Producer and an internationally acclaimed bass choral singer and soloist. Since the early 1990’s Adrian has been a freelance record producer, specialising in choral groups, with over four hundred CD’s in the catalogue. Record labels include Decca, Deutsche Grammophon, EMI, Hyperion, Chandos and Signum Classics; his list of recording ensembles and artists contains – among many others – The King’s Singers, Tenebrae, VOCES8, Westminster Cathedral Choir, the Choir of Trinity College, Cambridge, the Crossing Choir, the London Symphony Orchestra, the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment, the Academy of Ancient Music, Kate Lindsey, Iestyn Davies, Christiane Karg and Carolyn Sampson.
Adrian began his musical training as a chorister at Lichfield Cathedral. After graduating from the University of Surrey, he embarked on a freelance singing career in the whirlwind that is the London music scene. Always stimulated by variety, he soon found himself involved in projects as diverse as Josquin with the Tallis Scholars to Henze with the BBC Singers. A gradual change in the balance of things saw him more frequently in the producer’s chair until in 2013 he turned to it full time – a move which he has thoroughly enjoyed. Now increasingly busy in this role outside the UK as well as at home, he has enjoyed recent collaborations in Iceland, Norway, Sweden, Spain, Portugal and Austria, as well as all across the USA.
