Daniel Reuss is one of the most renowned choral conductors in the world. He is artistic director of Cappella Amsterdam, one of the leading chamber choirs in The Netherlands, as well as the Ensemble Vocal Lausanne. Previous positions include artistic directorships at the Estonian Philharmonic Chamber Choir and the Berlin-based RIAS Kammerchor. Daniel has been invited to conduct chamber ensembles and orchestras throughout Europe, and has also led ateliers at EUROPA CANTAT festivals. With his ensembles, Daniel released many critically acclaimed CD’s at various recording labels. The RIAS Kammerchor’s CD with works by Martin and Messiaen won the Diapason d’or de l’annee 2004, for instance. A collaboration album between the Estonian Philharmonic Chamber Choir and Cappella Amsterdam was nominated for a Grammy. And Cappella Amsterdam’s newest release, In Umbra Mortis, was awarded an Edison for its outstanding quality.
