Singing Technique – Pop vs Classical – Line Groth Riis

LEARN
workshop (90-150 min.)
conducting - teaching
Saturday 9.30hrs
Academiegebouw

Ready for something new? In this workshop, you learn about how you can help your classically trained singers sing pop music in a proper way, and find your own pop voice in the process. Line Groth Riis, former singer and conductor of Vocal Line and a member of the vocal group Postyr, will primarily teach the singing techniques from the world famous ‘Complete Vocal Technique’ by Cathrine Sadolin. Together with Line, you focus on how to maintain a healthy vocal technique and sing with an authentic pop sound at the same time. Apart from an introduction to the methods, you will get to try it out on your own voice and body, so you can bring it back to your choirs at home. Even if you don’t conduct classical music, this workshop is a great opportunity to develop your own pop sound!
