You are interested in a conducting workshop? Or in artistic concepts, an eductional method, the ins-and-out of warming up, choral management tricks or new repertoire? Then make sure you visit Leading Voices 2022!
Different hats in your practice
As a conductor or vocal leader, you wear many hats. You are leading a choir and making decisions on artistic issues, management and finances. And out of a group of individuals you make a sustainable and coherent group by coaching and training your singers. You take care of their wellbeing and position. And you arrange or compose music for your choir. Right?
Meet and be trained by peers
At Leading Voices you can meet people like you. And you can get trained by people who know your everyday job. Who know your fear and happiness. And your struggles and your joy. And you’ll find inspiration, knowledge and support to get the best out of yourself. To bring your choir and singers to a new level. Whether it is in or outside a classroom or a choir of professional singers. If you sing classical music, only children’s songs, pop music or vocal jazz. Or if you’re very experienced or just started – you can find it at the programme of Leading Voices 2022. So become one of the leading voices of tomorrow and join your peers!
What can you expect?
You will find sessions to cocreate and experiment. Sessions that encourge you to learn by doing. Or sessions where you can just sit down, watch, listen and learn. You might want to give your opinion during a round table or a Q&A. And informally meet people that do the same work at a lounge. Or just stroll on the expo to find new repertoire or subscribe to an individual session. So Leading Voices is not only about an ordinary conducting workshop or masterclass. It is about all you need to do as a vocal leader or choral conductor.
After and inspiring day you sit down on one of the beautiful terraces of Utrecht with colleagues. In the evening you visit one or two concerts. At the end of the day you have a drink with new friends from all over Europe. And then you know: you would not have missed this for the world!
